Welcome to Staffpoint’s late-season update.

Please see below for some highlights about what this new update will provide. We’ll be rolling out updates by the end of June 2025 and wanted to give you a preview of what’s going to pop up.

Bug fixes, Improvements, and Optimizations!

We’ve added the following new features:
  • [Admin Users] Administrators can now be given special permissions to delete Personnel or Clients. Admins without this permission won’t see delete options. This ensures only authorized users can make critical changes.
  • [Client/Location Management] When adding a new location, you can now quickly copy Main Contact, Emergency Contact, Billing Info, and even custom fields from the parent client—saving time and ensuring consistency.
  • [Dispatching & Notifications] The dispatching process now:
    • Supports dispatching for assignments starting within 1 hour.
    • Sends Email, SMS, and Phone notifications simultaneously.
    • Enforces a minimum 1-minute dispatch interval.
    • Shows the full dispatching history—even after acceptance.
  • [Personnel Management] Admins can now disable Personnel Types that are no longer in use. Disabled types won’t be available when creating new assignments or requests, and will not be available to be attached to Personnel, ensuring cleaner options for schedulers.
We’ve enhanced the following:
  • [Attendance Tracking] To avoid time manipulation, signatories (people signing off assignments) can now be restricted from editing the time when signing out. Admins can enable this option system-wide or per location.
  • [Client/Location Management] When creating new assignments, you can now type search across client names, locations, and codes—making it easier and faster to find the right match. Location names up to 136 characters are now fully visible.
  • [Personnel Management] You can now filter Personnel by their Qualifications in the Personnel Management screen. This helps quickly find individuals with the right qualifications for specific roles.
  • [Assignments Management] You can now “clone” an existing assignment—including all its details—to quickly create a new one. This makes it easier to schedule and dispatch similar assignments. No assigned staff will carry over, and all fields remain editable.
  • [Client Portal] Client users can now see all cancelled assignments on their portal—but only if permissions allow and the cancellation reason is set to “visible.” This provides clarity and transparency on changes.
  • [Location Users] You can now prevent location users from reducing the default assignment duration. This helps maintain shift length standards and ensures consistent scheduling.
  • [Personnel Management] Assignment detail visibility options have been renamed for clarity:
    • Internal – Admins only
    • Confidential – Admins and Client Users
    • Private – Assigned Personnel and Client Users
    • Public – All users
  • [Notifications] Notifications for assigned, cancelled, and changed assignments now include the client’s name. This enhancement standardizes notifications across all assignment-related actions.
  • [Reports] Tags added to assignments now appear in Payroll Reports and the Report Builder, next to the assignment ID—giving you clearer tracking and categorization.
  • [Dispatching & Notifications] Once a staff member accepts an assignment, their dispatch details now stay visible—making it easier to understand who responded, even after acceptance.
